Marshwood Community Land Trust Ltd.
Following a successful launch of the Parish Plan, meetings were held over some 12 months to set up the Marshwood Community Land Trust (CLT). With help of a steering committee of local people from the village under the chairmanship of Michael Robinson, the CLT finally came into being following its registration at the Finance Services Authority (now the FCA) in August 2012.
The first task of the newly formed Trust was to build some Affordable Houses for local people.
In November of that year David Hitchcock took over the chairmanship and held the first General Meeting in February 2013 at which a Board of Directors were elected by the 30 members attending.
In December 2015 the seven affordable houses were completed and the new tenants moved in during January 2016.
The Trust is now considering its next project.
